Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day), 30 hours/week, No weekend rotation, Meal break: 30 minutes

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for geriatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect patient goals, family input, and best practices
- Deliver evidence-based SLP therapy focused on dementia-related communication and geriatric needs
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Active SLP credentials (state licensure) — preferred and encouraged
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience or demonstrated interest in geriatric care and dementia populations
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills with evidence-based approach
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to complete required credentialing and background checks for a permanent placement
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in dysphagia assessment and management for older adults
- Knowledge of cognitive-communication deficits associated with dementia
- Proficient documentation and outcome tracking in electronic health records
- Ability to train and support caregivers and family members in communication strategies
- Strong clinical reasoning, time management, and patient-centered care skills
