Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Perform vital signs checks and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
- Assist with personal care tasks while preserving resident dignity and independence
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused environment that supports quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA classification noted in posting)
- Ability to meet facility onboarding requirements and any state-specific credentials
- Reliable transportation required — facility notes that rideshare may be unreliable
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care environment and collaborating with a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control practices
- Skilled in resident transfers, ambulation assistance, and safe lifting techniques
- Strong observation and communication skills for reporting changes in condition
- Customer-service mindset with patience, empathy, and respect for residents
- Ability to follow care plans, document clearly, and prioritize tasks
