Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on your unit
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document clinical findings and interventions in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and families to support discharge readiness and recovery
- Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and clinical emergencies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for Maryland (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty credentials are a plus
- Previous acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-focused environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond calmly in fast-paced settings
- Patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
