Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ functional abilities and needs using evidence-based OT practices
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence
- Provide therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies to improve daily living skills
- Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members and families to optimize outcomes
- Educate clients and caregivers on safe techniques, home programs, and adaptive equipment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist license (or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential if applicable)
- Current credentials in good standing and ability to meet facility requirements
- Comfortable working Monday through Friday daytime hours
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Background check and any required facility clearances completed prior to start
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) or completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (for COTA roles)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in OT assessment and treatment planning
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment
- Proficient clinical documentation and charting
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Patient-centered care with strong problem-solving skills
- Time management and caseload prioritization
