Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing disorders using evidence-based evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional gains
• Deliver skilled speech and language therapy to adults in a rehabilitation setting
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and family members to coordinate care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to support outcomes and continuity
• Participate in discharge planning and transitions of care
• Provide education and training to caregivers and support staff
• Contribute to a positive clinic culture by mentoring team members and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• State license in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility to obtain one)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or equivalent credentialing welcomed
• Experience in rehabilitation or outpatient therapy settings preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and patient-centered care approach
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and outcome measurement
• Proficient documentation practices and electronic medical record use
• Ability to adapt therapy to patient needs and functional goals
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and clinical teams
