Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility: transfer assistance, ambulation, and fall prevention measures
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help maintain a clean, safe and respectful living environment for residents
• Document care delivered accurately and timely in the facility record system
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to create meaningful resident plans

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility tasks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong sense of professionalism

Education

• GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing aide duties
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Ability to document observations clearly and follow care plans
• Basic understanding of resident rights, privacy, and dignity principles
• Good interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and families
