Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, day shift (35 hours/week) with weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
- Design and implement individualized therapy plans that produce meaningful progress
- Deliver engaging, person-centered therapy one-on-one and in group settings
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, OT/PT and families to create cohesive care plans
- Document assessments, progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and on time
- Provide caregiver and family education to support carryover and functional outcomes
- Participate in weekend rotation and team meetings to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Valid SLP licensure in Vermont or eligibility to obtain state license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience in rehabilitation or medical settings preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills considered
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills, clinical judgment and a team-first attitude
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA-accredited program preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of assessment and treatment for speech, language, cognition and swallowing
- Familiarity with evidence-based interventions and outcome measurement
- Comfortable documenting in electronic health records and writing clear progress notes
- Skilled in caregiver training, interdisciplinary collaboration and discharge planning
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while prioritizing patient safety and goals
