Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to residents at the rehab center, focused on comfort and recovery
• Administer medications and follow physician orders accurately and safely
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Perform skilled nursing tasks as appropriate to scope of practice and facility protocols
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families, educating them about care and progress
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety procedures

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico licensure required or eligible
• BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar clinical settings is preferred
• Comfort with overnight/night shift responsibilities and working independently
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient-focused skills

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent and active LPN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and documentation best practices
• Able to perform accurate patient assessments and recognize changes in condition
• Proficient with electronic medical records and routine charting
• Skilled at time management, prioritization, and working in a fast-paced rehab environment
• Team-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff
