Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day), 35 hours/week, No weekend rotation

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment activities under the direction of licensed OTs to help patients reach meaningful goals
- Assist with patient assessments, document progress, and communicate changes to the therapy team
- Lead therapeutic exercises and adaptive activities that promote independence in daily living
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and adaptive equipment use
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain therapy equipment, ensure a safe treatment environment, and support quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential (COTA)
- Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Nebraska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and care teams
- Previous experience in inpatient, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
Education
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques for activities of daily living
- Skilled in patient handling, transfers, and safe mobility practices
- Proficient documentation and charting of treatment sessions and outcomes
- Good clinical judgment and ability to follow established care plans
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Comfortable educating patients and families in lay-friendly language
