Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Support safe transfers and mobility assistance to promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear communication
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Class: CNA) — must be valid for West Virginia
• Local candidates or those within commuting distance only (LOCAL ONLY)
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight/night shift duties
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and compassionate
• Previous resident/patient care experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed and current Certified Nursing Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Ability to assist with ADLs and safely operate mobility aids
• Comfortable with charting and clear documentation
• Good observation skills to notice changes in condition
• Team-oriented approach and effective communication with clinical staff
