Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care with clarity and confidence
- Assess patients regularly and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate excellent care
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and healthy outcomes
- Advocate for patient safety, infection control, and best-practice standards
- Maintain timely, thorough documentation in the medical record
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required)
- Ability to practice in Maryland (state licensure or applicable compact privileges)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (recommended/obtainable if not currently held)
- Clinical experience in acute or related care settings preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Diploma in Nursing considered where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Safe medication administration and documentation
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management, prioritization, and triage in a busy environment
