Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered physical therapy interventions to restore mobility and function
• Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Document progress and maintain accurate clinical notes using facility documentation systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and injury prevention
• Assist with therapeutic modalities, exercise programs and functional mobility training
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe treatment environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist (appropriate to role)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Clinical experience in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and follow established care plans

Education

• For Physical Therapist: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
• For Physical Therapist Assistant: Associate degree or accredited PTA program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with therapeutic exercise prescription and functional mobility training
• Skilled in patient assessment, gait training and assistive device education
• Familiarity with common rehab modalities and safety precautions
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to adapt plans based on patient response
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate charting
