Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in delivering individualized treatment plans to maximize patient function and independence
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, mobility training, and restorative care with compassion and precision
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity of care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, safety, and transfer techniques to promote long-term outcomes
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, share insights, and advocate for patient needs
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe, clean, and effective therapy environment

Qualifications

• Current or compact-eligible Washington State PTA license or certification (required)
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort working consistently across all days of the week (Sunday through Saturday coverage)
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Completion of required state PTA licensing/certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and modalities used in rehabilitation
• Skilled in implementing PT-directed treatment plans and documenting clinical outcomes
• Ability to instruct patients and families in safe home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Familiarity with common rehab diagnoses and progressive functional goal-setting
• Good teamwork, time management, and clinical judgement in a fast-paced setting
