Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Support mobility and safe transfers while maintaining patient dignity and comfort
- Document care interventions clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care
- Follow infection control protocols and facility procedures to keep patients safe
- Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to coordinate care
- Assist with meal service and ensure patient dietary needs and preferences are addressed
- Participate in shift handoff reporting to maintain high-quality, consistent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (T-CNA classification listed) — must be active and in good standing
- Prior hands-on patient care experience as a CNA preferred
- Reliable personal transportation required (note: Uber may not be reliable in the area)
- Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
- Willingness to work early day-shift hours beginning around 6:45 AM
- Strong communication, observation, and teamwork skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active CNA certification (T-CNA preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) support
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Basic patient mobility and safe transfer techniques
- Familiarity with infection control and hygiene best practices
- Clear, professional documentation and communication skills
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
