Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess communication and swallowing disorders and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions across a range of caseloads
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and families to coordinate care
- Document progress thoroughly and maintain timely clinical records in the facility EHR
- Educate patients and caregivers on strategies to carry over therapy into daily life
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning to support positive outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (standard requirement for clinical practice)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred but not required — strong clinical skills are key
- Clinical experience with adult/geriatric populations and dysphagia management preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in standardized and criterion-referenced assessment tools
- Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment strategies
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech, language, and cognitive-communication interventions
- Familiarity with assistive communication devices and AAC strategies
- Comfortable documenting in electronic health records
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary rehab setting
