Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and clearly in patient records
- Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active or eligible for New Mexico CNA licensure
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and a local-only candidate per job notes
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to patient safety and dignity
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL assistance
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Familiarity with documentation and basic charting
- Safe transfer and lifting techniques
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
