Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
- Provide reliable, hands-on bedside care and comfort to residents and patients
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary team
- Follow infection control protocols and facility procedures to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (T-CNA noted in order details)
- Ability to provide proof of certifications and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Must have reliable transportation — facility notes that ride-share may be unreliable
- Professional, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
- Previous long-term care or acute care experience is a plus, but caring attitude is essential
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Strong observation skills to notice changes in condition
- Clear and respectful communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Basic documentation and charting skills
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care environment
- Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
