Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions that help patients regain independence in daily activities
• Assist in assessments and implement individualized treatment plans under the supervising OTR
• Document patient progress and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on techniques, safety, and home programs to support recovery
• Ensure a safe therapeutic environment and maintain therapy equipment

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) — required
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for the duration of the 13-week contract
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinicians and families
• Comfortable with documentation and following established treatment plans

Education

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
• Active COTA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Foundational occupational therapy principles and therapeutic activities
• Patient assessment and progress measurement
• ADL training and adaptive techniques to promote independence
• Clear documentation practices and basic electronic charting familiarity
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate patients
