Location: Laconia, NH
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; weekend rotation required (rotating day shifts)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients’ communication and swallowing needs using evidence-based methods
- Develop individualized treatment plans that produce meaningful progress
- Provide skilled, compassionate therapy and adjust plans based on patient response
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Document interventions and progress thoroughly and timely in the medical record
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and long-term success
- Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives
- Mentor and communicate with support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care
Qualifications
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (ability to obtain NH license if not currently licensed)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent graduate training
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or working toward certification
- Experience or interest in working in a rehabilitation setting and with diverse adult populations
- Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with therapy-related regulations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented mindset
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and outcome measurement
- Proficient documentation and clinical reasoning
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing, PT/OT, physicians, and support staff
- Comfortable educating patients and caregivers and adapting teaching to individual needs
- Time management and caseload prioritization in a busy rehab environment
