Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory analyses across all sections to support patient diagnosis and care
• Accession and process specimens in the Laboratory Information System and refer tests to reference labs as needed
• Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and perform basic troubleshooting to ensure reliable results
• Manage overnight workflow independently, prioritize tasks and multitask during busy periods
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols while handling infectious clinical specimens
• Respond professionally and effectively to codes and traumas when they arise during your shift
• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and follow regulatory and laboratory policies
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff, including routine phlebotomy

Qualifications

• MT: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science and active MT certification (MT ASCP, MT AMT, or CLS NCA)
• MLT: Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and active MLT certification (MLT ASCP, MLT AMT, or CLT NCA)
• Minimum of one year of laboratory experience preferred
• Comfortable performing routine phlebotomy and specimen acquisition
• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts and confidently manage workflow
• Willingness to comply with required background and criminal records checks per tribal and federal regulations

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for MLT roles
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science for MT roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and accessioning processes
• Strong skills in analytical testing across laboratory sections
• Experience with equipment operation, maintenance and calibration
• Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, infection control and regulatory standards
• Troubleshooting aptitude and the ability to escalate issues appropriately
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond calmly to codes and traumas
