Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging studies while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Operate CT equipment and adjust imaging protocols for optimal diagnostic results
• Position patients accurately and explain procedures in a calm, reassuring way
• Follow radiation safety practices and maintain proper documentation
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to ensure timely image acquisition and reporting
• Maintain equipment, complete QC checks, and report issues promptly
• Provide compassionate care for diverse patient populations during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Professional certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT preferred)
• CT-specific training or credentialing and demonstrated CT experience
• State radiologic technologist licensure where required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight 12-hour shifts and strong clinical judgment
• Excellent communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• ARRT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Radiation safety and dose optimization practices
• Patient positioning and trauma/imaging protocols for ED and inpatient settings
• Familiarity with PACS, EMR systems, and image archiving workflows
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast overnight environment
