Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (12-hour nights), schedule as assigned (primarily night coverage)

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery and post-op gyne patients
- Assess patients using the nursing process; develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate outcomes
- Independently perform labor and delivery, recovery and postpartum clinical skills with sound nursing judgment
- Perform neonatal stabilization and resuscitation as needed (NRP/STABLE protocols)
- Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation while upholding confidentiality and HIPAA standards
- Manage unit supplies and equipment to support safe, efficient patient care
- Participate in unit orientation, continuing competency activities and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible for Maine practice) — graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience with labor & delivery experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certificate and STABLE training
- Strong computer documentation skills and effective written/oral communication
- Willingness and ability to work in labor, delivery and recovery areas
- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree or Diploma; BSN acceptable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Clinical competency in inpatient OB clinical skills and age-appropriate obstetric and neonatal care
- Proficient in neonatal resuscitation, STABLE protocols, and emergency response
- Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Teaching skills for patient and family education
- Supply and equipment management, plus basic computer skills and electronic charting
- Strict adherence to confidentiality, HIPAA, and hospital policies
