Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (specific start/end times vary), plus one weekend day per month

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality physical therapy services according to individualized treatment plans
- Document patient progress and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner using EMR
- Provide one-on-one care to patients across the lifespan with empathy and professionalism
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home programs, and safe mobility
- Support department compliance by maintaining accurate caseload documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive patient outcomes
- Demonstrate leadership and flexibility in a fast-paced acute hospital environment
Qualifications
- Degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
- Current Maryland physical therapy licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
- Basic Life Support (AHA) certification
- At least 1 year of hospital acute experience preferred; new graduates with strong acute clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated experience with EMR documentation
- Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant degree (associate or appropriate credential)

- Patient-centered care and strong bedside manner
- EMR documentation best practices and accuracy
- Assessment and treatment of orthopedic, neurological, and critical care caseloads
- Effective patient and family education techniques
- Adaptability in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Clear communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
