Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely external beam radiation treatments with attention to precision and patient safety
- Perform simulations and treatment planning tasks with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision
- Set up patients and utilize proper patient identifiers, scripting, and barriers to ensure correct treatments
- Assess patient needs during treatment and collaborate with the oncology team to address concerns
- Practice and enforce radiation safety procedures to protect patients and staff
- Complete patient charting and documentation promptly and according to established standards
- Design and fabricate treatment blocks accurately and efficiently as needed
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of departmental equipment and participate in equipment-related tasks
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
- ARRT registration in radiation therapy (required)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- Experience as a Radiation Therapist (position seeks an experienced clinician)
- Comfortable with simulation, treatment planning, patient setup, and external beam therapy

- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program

- Radiation therapy fundamentals and external beam radiation therapy
- Simulation techniques and accurate patient setup
- Treatment planning and advanced treatment calculations
- Radiation safety protocols and best practices
- Patient care, communication, and assessment during treatment
- Patient charting and documentation standards
- Block fabrication and basic equipment operation
- Scheduling, scripting, and use of patient identifiers
