Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans and X-ray exams in the Emergency Department and Outpatient settings with precision and compassion
- Prepare patients and positions accurately to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate CT and X-ray equipment safely following radiation safety protocols
- Collaborate with ED clinicians and outpatient staff to prioritize urgent imaging needs
- Document imaging procedures thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records in PACS/EMR
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment; report issues promptly to ensure minimal downtime
- Uphold infection control, patient confidentiality, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience performing CT and X-Ray imaging
- ODH Radiologic License (required)
- ARRT RRT (R) certification (required)
- BLS from the American Heart Association ONLY (required)
- Preferred: Registered ARRT RT (CT)
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs and perform duties that require physical stamina
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven knowledge of CT protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and image acquisition
- Strong patient positioning and trauma imaging skills for ED environments
- Familiarity with PACS, DICOM standards, and basic EMR workflows
- Good communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Solid understanding of radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to prioritize cases and work calmly in a fast-paced emergency setting
