Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a family practice rural health clinic
- Perform thorough assessments and triage to identify patient needs and prioritize care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Support preventive care and chronic disease management through education and follow-up
- Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to coordinate efficient patient flow
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the clinic’s health record system
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance clinic services and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or eligibility to obtain licensure quickly
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
- Experience in family practice, primary care, or rural health clinic settings preferred
- Comfortable with medication administration, patient education, and routine clinic procedures
- Ability to start promptly and adapt to a quick-start contract engagement
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and triage skills for outpatient care
- Experience with chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, etc.)
- Immunization administration and preventive care knowledge
- Proficient clinical documentation and basic EHR navigation
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
- Cultural sensitivity and comfort working in a rural community setting
