Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders with compassion and clinical expertise
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and needs
- Provide clear patient and caregiver education about therapy goals, progress, and home strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Participate actively in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
- Mentor and support new graduates and clinicians during their Clinical Fellowship Year
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active California SLP license or eligible for California licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- New graduates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent documentation skills and understanding of regulatory requirements
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Education
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (accredited program)
Knowledge & Skills
- Assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Patient and caregiver education and coaching
- Clinical documentation and regulatory compliance
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination
- Familiarity with modern therapy tools, assistive technology, and evidence-based practices
