Shift Type: Varied (day / evening) rotating shifts; average of 3 days on-call per month; no guaranteed hours or guaranteed time off. Traveler must arrive the Friday prior to the Monday start for HR/EH clearance appointments.
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams using digital radiography and C-arm systems
- Operate and maintain radiographic and C-arm equipment (Philips, OEC, Konica) safely and effectively
- Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed; wear and manage dosimeter badge consistently
- Document exams and patient information accurately in EMR systems (Meditech, Epic)
- Work independently to prioritize caseload, troubleshoot equipment issues, and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with clinical teams to deliver patient-centered imaging and support clinical decision-making
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled and respond promptly to urgent imaging needs
Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required by assignment start (must apply if not already licensed)
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a radiologic technologist
- Familiarity with dosimeter badge use and radiation safety protocols
- Ability to travel and arrive in Hilo the Friday before the assignment start for required HR/EH clearance
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiography and digital radiography techniques
- Radiation safety and proper use of dosimeter badges
- Radiographic equipment operation and troubleshooting
- C-arm operation and fluoro-assisted imaging (Philips and OEC experience preferred)
- Experience with DR systems (Philips, Konica) and image acquisition
- EMR competency — Meditech and Epic familiarity preferred
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently
