Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate emergency nursing care to stabilize and treat patients in the ER
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care for acute, urgent and traumatic conditions
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions per physician orders and protocols
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in Meditech 6.0
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Respond to emergency codes and perform life-saving interventions when needed
• Participate in call coverage, accepting assigned 24-hour call shifts and following call protocols
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning and safe transitions of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure (appropriate state authorization required)
• Emergency Department nursing experience (ER RN / Emergency Nursing)
• Ability to work night shifts and accept 24-hour call shifts as required
• Traveler experience strongly preferred (previous travel RN experience a plus)
• Familiarity with Meditech (Meditech 6.0 experience preferred)
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications are a plus

Education

• Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Comfort with high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments
• Proficiency with electronic medical records, ideally Meditech 6.0
• Solid medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to manage call responsibilities and handoffs effectively
