Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients promptly and accurately to plan and deliver safe, effective care
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and best practices
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns to the team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
• Perform specialty-specific competencies and skills checks to ensure high-quality practice
• Support patient and family education with compassion and clarity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (state license required)
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• TNCC certification
• Demonstrated competency with NIHSS (stroke scale)
• Ability to pass Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Ability to complete required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, varicella, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with emergency and trauma nursing principles
• Comfortable using stroke assessment tools such as NIHSS
• Effective medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Excellent documentation and electronic health record proficiency
• Team-focused communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced clinical environments
