Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy assessment, treatment, and documentation for patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional independence
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and families on home programs and safe mobility strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and comply with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in Montana or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (see Education section)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable with documentation in electronic medical records
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; prior experience in post-acute or rehab settings is a plus
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy accepted where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and balance interventions
- Knowledge of mobility aids and durable medical equipment recommendations
- Ability to assess functional goals and measure outcomes
- Patient-centered approach with strong clinical reasoning
- Efficient time management and caseload prioritization
