Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care across multiple zone facilities as an ER float nurse
- Quickly assess and triage patients presenting with a variety of acute conditions including stroke, STEMI, trauma, respiratory and abdominal complaints
- Perform point-of-care testing and accurate bedside assessments to guide timely treatment
- Interpret telemetry and cardiac strips, escalate changes appropriately and collaborate with the team for rapid interventions
- Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, RT, techs and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow and safe dispositions
- Adapt to different ER environments within Zone 4 while maintaining consistent standards of care
- Document thoroughly in EPIC and complete required charting and handoffs
Qualifications
- Active RN license (must be able to submit license to apply)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (ER/ED experience highly preferred)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA)
- ENPC or PALS and TNCC required
- NIHSS certification for stroke assessment
- Comfortable with telemetry interpretation and point-of-care testing
- Ability and willingness to float within a 60-mile Zone 4 radius (travel/housing must support floating)
- Able to complete unit orientation (2-3 days) and week-of-orientation in-state
Education
- Active RN license (required)
- BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Telemetry rhythm recognition and interpretation
- Familiarity with emergency procedures for STEMI and stroke send-outs
- Comfortable performing point-of-care lab testing
- Ability to manage multiple acuity levels and 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Team-oriented communication and the ability to work with varied ER support staff
