Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care in the ICU and across hospital units, making a meaningful difference in patient outcomes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement treatment plans based on clinical protocols
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator strategies for critically ill patients
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators including PB 980, PB 840 and Respironics V60 with confidence
• Document care accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record to ensure continuity and safety
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Participate in unit-based protocols, quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care planning
• Provide adaptable coverage across units as needed to support staffing and patient needs

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum 2 years of critical care / ICU respiratory experience (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Comfortable with mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• Experience with Meditech or other EMRs a plus
• Post-op cardiovascular surgery experience preferred
• Team-player attitude, self-motivated, and patient-centered

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• ICU and critical care respiratory therapies
• Patient assessment and protocol-driven therapy
• Experience with PB 980, PB 840 and Respironics V60 ventilators
• Meditech electronic medical record usage
• Ability to adapt and float across multiple hospital areas
