Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Perform thorough resident assessments and report changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and physicians to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support admissions, discharges and transfers efficiently and respectfully
• Educate residents and families on care plans and promote resident independence
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered LPN license (must be eligible to practice in Maine or obtain Maine licensure)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Comfort with electronic charting and medication administration
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Reliable transportation required for this assignment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Skilled in resident assessment, ADL assistance and wound care basics
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
• Good time management, prioritization and delegation skills
