Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing needs using evidence-based evaluation methods
• Develop individualized treatment plans and meaningful goals for each patient
• Deliver skilled speech-language pathology interventions to maximize patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, physicians, and caregivers to coordinate care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families to support carryover and functional gains
• Participate in team meetings and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (required)
• State license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or working toward certification
• Comfort providing care across the lifespan in an interdisciplinary setting
• Strong clinical reasoning, organization, and effective communication skills
• Willingness to work the assigned day shift schedule including weekends as needed

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders
• Familiarity with common outcome measures and documentation best practices
• Ability to create clear, functional, and person-centered treatment plans
• Comfortable collaborating in interdisciplinary teams and communicating with families
• Proficiency with electronic health records and timely charting
