Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with night and weekend on-call coverage (day-focused schedule with required nights/weekends for call)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile instruments for a wide range of procedures, ensuring safety and readiness
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and strict infection-control practices throughout each case
- Operate and troubleshoot OR equipment and robotics as needed for specialty cases
- Document perioperative details in the EMR (Meditech) and ensure accurate procedure records
- Participate in unit policies, quality improvement initiatives, and teamwork to support excellent patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Must have DORA and NBSTSA credentials (required — candidates without these will not be considered)
- CST/ORT experience in an Operating Room setting (minimum 2 years experience required)
- Preferred: 3+ years of surgical tech/OR experience and current surgical technologist certification
- Experience with transplant, spine, vascular, robotics, total joints, ENT or plastics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and OR documentation
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts and participate in night/weekend on-call rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong sterile technique and instrument handling skills
- Familiarity with procedures: total joints, spine, kidney/liver transplants, robotics, vascular, ENT, plastics
- Meditech EMR navigation and perioperative documentation
- Ability to work smoothly under pressure and communicate clearly with surgeons and OR team
- Equipment setup and basic troubleshooting for OR technology and robotics
