Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist with and prepare for invasive cardiac procedures in the cath lab
- Operate and maintain GE imaging equipment and ensure sterile setup
- Monitor patient vitals and provide 1:1 patient care during procedures
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in MacLab and Meditech
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs and techs to deliver safe, efficient care
- Educate patients and families about procedures and post-procedure care
- Adhere to unit policies, sterile technique, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or cardiac-related clinical experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Proven Cath Lab experience and familiarity with invasive cardiac procedures
- Comfortable using MacLab and Meditech; experience with GE equipment is a plus
- Willingness to work day shifts and be available for on-call night coverage
Knowledge & Skills
- Experience with MacLab and Meditech EMR systems
- Familiarity with GE imaging equipment and cath lab technology
- Skilled in invasive cardiac procedures and cath lab workflows
- Strong critical thinking and 1:1 patient monitoring skills
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Ability to follow sterile technique and unit-specific policies
