Shift Type: Rotating nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night); rotating weekend coverage (every other / every third weekend)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for adolescents through geriatrics in an oncology-focused ED pod
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize urgent needs
- Start and maintain IVs, administer IV therapy and blood products safely and confidently
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate emergency responses
- Manage ventilated patients, interpret ABGs and support respiratory therapies including CPAP/BiPAP
- Document thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and strong interdisciplinary communication
- Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy and social services to coordinate timely patient care
- Support facility STEMI/stroke processes as needed and maintain required certifications during shifts
Qualifications
- Active RN license (able to practice in Ohio or obtain state licensure promptly)
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience required
- EPIC charting experience is required
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS and PALS required per posting
- Proven competency with IV starts, telemetry monitoring and cardiac monitoring
- Experience caring for ventilated patients and interpreting ABGs preferred
- Ability to float within unit and work rotating night schedules and weekend coverage
- Oncology ED experience preferred but not required; blood product and central line experience a plus
- Submission of Request Time Off (RTO) required at the time of application
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in EPIC charting and thorough documentation practices
- Strong IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including starting and maintaining IVs
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of IV vasopressors and emergency cardiac interventions
- Respiratory care skills: ventilator care, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation
- Triage expertise and ability to prioritize high-acuity patients
- Familiarity with isolation precautions / PPE and infection control protocols
- Comfort working in a STEMI and stroke certified facility environment
