Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function with compassion and clinical precision
- Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect patient goals and evidence-based practice
- Deliver effective therapy using a variety of techniques, including AAC when appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families to support carryover and meaningful outcomes
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Experience in evaluation and treatment of speech, language, and swallowing disorders preferred
- Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic health records
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical assessment and evidence-based intervention for pediatric and adult populations
- Knowledge of dysphagia management and instrumental assessment basics
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication approaches
- Proficient documentation and clinical reasoning abilities
- Ability to build rapport quickly with patients, families, and care teams
