Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate communication and swallowing disorders using evidence-based tools
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that help patients reach meaningful goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- Provide family education and caregiver training to extend progress beyond sessions
- Document progress clearly and timely in clinical records and participate in care planning
- Adapt therapy approaches for a diverse caseload and support patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Current or eligible state license in Speech-Language Pathology (able to obtain California licensure preferred)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with adult and/or pediatric populations in clinical settings is a plus
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and treatment planning for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
- Experience with AAC devices and alternative communication strategies
- Skilled in dysphagia evaluation and management techniques
- Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with families
- Comfortable using clinical documentation systems and outcome measures
