Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing function using evidence-based evaluations
• Develop personalized treatment plans that help patients reach meaningful goals
• Deliver skilled, compassionate therapy across the continuum of care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists to coordinate care
• Document progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families so gains extend beyond the clinic
• Adapt therapy to meet the needs of diverse populations and diagnoses
• Mentor and guide support staff when appropriate to elevate team care

Qualifications

• Valid state license or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or the ability to obtain certification
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with patient-centered focus
• Ability to complete documentation and meet productivity expectations for a contract role

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia assessment
• Skilled in developing goal-focused, measurable treatment plans
• Familiarity with common therapeutic modalities and compensatory strategies
• Comfortable working in interdisciplinary teams and communicating with caregivers
• Experience with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to tailor interventions to individual needs
