Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans that support meaningful functional outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered therapy across age groups and settings
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover and home programs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or actively pursuing certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable working in fast-paced clinical environments and adapting to patient needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to care
- Clinical experience with conversational and functional goals preferred
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations
- Proven ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with common therapy techniques and evidence-based practices
- Competent with clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to educate and engage patients and families in therapy goals
