Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry and medical-surgical nursing care to diverse adult patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry data, and act promptly on critical changes
• Perform thorough assessments and develop patient-centered plans of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, efficient care transitions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to policy and best practice
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record and communicate clearly at handoff
• Participate in specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (state licensure and verification required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications (listed as required)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Current immunizations and screenings per facility policy (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, varicella, Tdap, fit test, 10-panel drug screen)
• Successful completion of Trinity Color Vision and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork across disciplines
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
