Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans following radiologist protocols and department standards
• Operate CT equipment (Canon/Toshiba systems) and reconstruct images using MIP, MPR and 3D techniques
• Prepare and position patients with compassion and professionalism, including venipuncture when needed
• Function independently to complete routine CT examinations and escalate complex cases appropriately
• Assist with image-guided procedures such as biopsies and drainages when required
• Document examinations accurately in the EMR (Meditech) and ensure timely image availability for radiologist review
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and participate in quality assurance activities
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists and clinical teams to support acute hospital patient care

Qualifications

• Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license required (travelers must obtain prior to start)
• Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting
• Ability to scan independently per radiologist protocols and manage routine CT exams without direct supervision
• Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
• Preferred: hands-on experience with Meditech EMR, Canon or Toshiba CT units, and Vitrea workstation
• Preferred: experience with vascular, cardiac, trauma, or stroke imaging and image-guided procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) best practices and CT protocols
• Radiography fundamentals and patient positioning
• Advanced image reconstruction: MIP, MPR and 3D imaging
• Venipuncture and IV contrast administration competency
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
• Experience operating Canon and Toshiba CT systems
• Use of Vitrea workstation for post-processing
• Acute hospital workflows, trauma/stroke imaging priorities, and procedure support
