Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Accurately document care, vital signs, and patient interactions
- Support a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state-appropriate) — required
- Ability to start locally within 2 weeks (LOCAL ONLY)
- Comfort working 12.5-hour day shifts on the scheduled days (Sun, Fri, Sat)
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a patient-centered approach
Education
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program or equivalent (CNA training)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
- Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing changes, and reporting effectively
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Dependable time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Respect for resident privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
