Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care for residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document vital signs and resident condition changes and promptly communicate concerns to the nursing team
- Assist with feeding and nutrition support while honoring residents' dignity and preferences
- Support care planning and accurate charting to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety protocols
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support and respectful communication
Qualifications
- Current LNA / Licensed Nursing Assistant credential (NH license required; VT credential noted in title)
- CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain prior to start
- Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and facility onboarding
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar resident-focused setting preferred
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable working nights
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident personal care
- Proficient with taking and recording vital signs and basic observations
- Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
- Basic charting and documentation competency (paper or electronic systems)
- Knowledge of infection prevention, resident safety, and dignity-preserving practices
