Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and promptly communicate changes to the care team
- Support resident comfort, safety and dignity during night hours
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs and interdisciplinary staff to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation in the resident record
- Participate in facility initiatives to improve resident outcomes and quality of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (ability to practice in New Mexico required or ability to obtain licensure prior to start)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain shortly after hire)
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, rehabilitation or a similar setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a compassionate approach to resident care
- Ability to work scheduled nights (Sunday, Friday, Saturday) and thrive in a team environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing (LPN) program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
- Solid patient assessment and documentation skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and standard charting practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfort managing routine night-shift responsibilities and prioritizing tasks independently
