Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the patient record
• Perform timely patient assessments, monitor changes and escalate concerns to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and support staff to coordinate safe, effective care
• Support admissions, discharges and transfers to keep unit flow moving smoothly
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy
• Follow facility policies, safety protocols and infection prevention practices at all times

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license (eligible to practice in North Carolina) for the assignment
• Travel nursing flexibility to accept a 13-week contract and rotating night schedule
• Clinical experience caring for adult patients; previous facility experience preferred
• Ability to pass standard background checks, drug screening and meet facility immunization requirements
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to fit into an established care team quickly

Education

• Completion of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program
• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medication administration and IV/line basics (as applicable to LPN/RN scope)
• Patient assessment, vital sign monitoring and clinical documentation
• Triage and escalation of changes in patient condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate patient- and family-centered care with clear communication
