Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care including bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in a resident's condition promptly
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and fall-prevention measures to keep residents safe
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the resident chart and communicate with the care team
• Support infection control and a clean, safe living environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing (New Mexico or applicable state)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire where required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
• Ability to pass facility background check and required health screenings
• Willingness to work scheduled night shifts (Sunday–Tuesday) and follow facility policies

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident assistance
• Vital signs measurement, basic clinical observation, and infection control practices
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Clear communication, compassionate bedside manner, and teamwork
• Accurate documentation and time management in a clinical setting
