Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Red Rocks Care Center
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the medical record
- Monitor resident condition, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
- Deliver respectful assistance with daily living activities while promoting independence
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Support admissions, discharges, and transitions with clear communication and attention to detail
- Maintain infection control practices and contribute to a safe, clean care environment
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain promptly
- Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts and maintain energy and professionalism throughout
- Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and routine clinical assessments
- Local candidates only (this is a local contract assignment)
- Reliable, patient-focused, and able to communicate clearly with residents and families
Education
- Vocational Nursing diploma or LPN certificate (completed)
- Active LPN licensure in New Mexico
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in medication administration and basic wound care
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered approaches
- Good charting skills and comfort with electronic health records
- Effective communication and teamwork with nursing and support staff
- Time management for busy shift workflows and prioritizing resident needs
- Basic knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in long-term care
