Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Red Rocks Care Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately in the medical record
• Monitor resident condition, report changes to the care team, and participate in care planning
• Deliver respectful assistance with daily living activities while promoting independence
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions with clear communication and attention to detail
• Maintain infection control practices and contribute to a safe, clean care environment

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain promptly
• Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts and maintain energy and professionalism throughout
• Comfortable with medication administration, wound care basics, and routine clinical assessments
• Local candidates only (this is a local contract assignment)
• Reliable, patient-focused, and able to communicate clearly with residents and families

Education

• Vocational Nursing diploma or LPN certificate (completed)
• Active LPN licensure in New Mexico

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical skills in medication administration and basic wound care
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and resident-centered approaches
• Good charting skills and comfort with electronic health records
• Effective communication and teamwork with nursing and support staff
• Time management for busy shift workflows and prioritizing resident needs
• Basic knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in long-term care
